ST. LOUIS — A new venue for classic musicians and comedians is coming to St. Louis later this year.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/VrR9WJ ) reports that River City Casino's $82 million expansion includes an events center that will open in May or June. Anthony Sanfilippo, president and CEO of River City owner Pinnacle Entertainment, says the center will host performers such as Dionne Warwick, Huey Lewis and Gladys Knight.
Sanfilippo says the focus will be on Motown, pop, country and other genres of music, along with occasional comedians.
The expansion also includes covered parking and a 200-room hotel that will open in the fall.
