News Years Shooting Suspect Turns Himself into Authorities
BOONE COUNTY - The third suspect in the New Year's Day shooting in Jefferson City is behind bars. 26-year-old Daleron Michael Monroe of Columbia turned himself into authorities Friday around 1:30 p.m. This comes after law enforcement issued a warrant for his arrest.
Monroe is charged with armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm. His bail is set for $500,000.
According to the Jefferson City Police Department, a witness observed Monroe firing a handgun at Brandon Betts, who was shot in the face early New Year's morning. Brandon and his brother Byron were also arrested.
