Nixon appoints Circuit Judge Dolan to state appeals court
JEFFERSON CITY (AP) — Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon is appointing St. Louis County Circuit Judge Colleen Dolan to a state appeals court.
Nixon on Friday announced Dolan will replace Eastern District Court of Appeals Judge Patricia Cohen.
Cohen left to serve as a federal magistrate judge.
Dolan, of Ellisville, has been a circuit judge on the St. Louis County Circuit Court since 1999 and was an associate circuit judge for the previous five years. She's served on Missouri Supreme Court alternative dispute resolution and family committees.
Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and she received her law degree from St. Louis University.
Other candidates for the judgeship were St. Louis city Circuit Judge Robin Vannoy and attorney Kenneth Vuylsteke of Fox & Vuylsteke LLP in Webster Groves.
