Nixon names KC Lawyer to State Retirement Board
JEFFERSON CITY - Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has named a Kansas City lawyer to a state pension board.
Antwaun L. Smith will serve an indefinite term on the board of the Missouri State Employees Retirement System. The appointment was announced Wednesday and does not require Senate confirmation.
Smith earned his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has a master's degree in business
administration from Oxford University in England.
Eleven people serve on the MOSERS board, including two appointed by the governor.
