Nixon to Visit Waynesville Wednesday
WAYNESVILLE (AP) - Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon will be in flood-damaged Waynesville on Wednesday to discuss emergency response efforts.
The governor is scheduled to host a discussion at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Waynesville City Hall. He'll also discuss concerns about additional flooding threats in Missouri this week.
A child was killed and several homes and businesses damaged after heavy rain Monday night and Tuesday morning soaked Waynesville, a south-central Missouri town near Fort Leonard Wood.
