No. 19 Mizzou softball rallies to defeat No. 14 Tennessee
COLUMBIA - No. 19 Mizzou softball used a six-run sixth inning to complete a comeback win over No. 14 Tennessee. Junior Sami Fagan went 2-for-3 with four RBI, including a bases-loaded double to give the Tigers the win.
Freshman Paige Lowary earned her 10th victory of her career. She gave up a pair of three-run home runs in the opening frame but tossed another 5.1 solid innings to help keep Mizzou in the game.
Sophomore Tori Finucane entered the circle in the seventh inning but Lowary came back in and finished off the side to seal the win.
Mizzou will face the Volunteers in the series finale on Sunday, with the first pitch set for 12 p.m. CT.
