COLUMBIA -- Senior heavyweight Dom Bradley was named Wrestler of the Week by the Mid-American Conference for the first time in the 2012-13 season. Bradley is 8-0 on the season after his five straight wins this past Saturday at the Joe Parisi Open at Lindenwood University.
Bradley, ranked No. 2 in the nation, took first place in the heavyweight bracket by pinning three straight opponents and winning the semifinals and finals matches by decision. The three pins came in a total time of 6:59. He defeated Austin Marsden from Oklahoma in the final to take home first place.
Bradley took an Olympic redshirt last year due to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He has a 74-12 career record as a Tiger wrestler. He was honored in 2011 by being named an All-American.
