No Suspect for I-70 Shooting
COLUMBIA - Police have no current suspects regarding the vehicle shot while driving on I-70 Tuesday night. The victim reported he traveled onto I-70 via the entrance ramp at the I-70/63 connector heading west.
Shortly after getting on I-70 west the victim came upon a large, black Dodge Ram style truck in the passing lane. He then passed the truck in the right lane. The victim told police he then heard a noise, saw some debris at the front of the vehicle and his driver side window shattered. After the window shattered the victim sped up and the suspect's vehicle exited at Providence Road. Police say the victim did not know what direction the suspect's vehicle went after exiting at Providence Road.
Officers inspected the victim's vehicle at Primrose and found numerous rounds starting at the rear quarter panel to the front of the hood of the vehicle. Police found seven to eight holes in the vehicle all caused by gun fire.
