FULTON, MO -- North Callaway High School senior Collin Brinker has signed a letter of intent to continue his education at William Woods University and compete for the Owls, head coach Darren Munns announced this week.
"I'm excited to sign Collin Brinker to our recruiting class for next season," said Munns. "Collin is an ideal student-athlete, and the type of person we want to build our program around. Collin has a very high pitcher's IQ and throws all his pitches for strikes. He will compete for innings as a freshman."
A four-year letterwinner for the Thunderbirds, Brinker compiled a 8-2-1 record during the 2011 season as North Callaway captured its second consecutive Mid-Mo Conference title. He picked up two complete games in 12 total appearances, striking out 83 batters and allowing just 16 walks on the year.
Brinker was twice selected as first team All-Mid-Mo Conference honoree, earning All-District 3 honors as well as an honorable mention all-state nod as a junior.
