Nursing home worker faces charges for allegedly raping resident with dementia
FARMINGTON (AP) - An eastern Missouri nursing home worker is accused of allegedly raping a resident with dementia.
Farmington police were called to the Presbyterian Manor nursing home last month after concerns were raised by a visitor. Police say that after 44-year-old James Royce Weber left the room of a 74-year-old resident, a supervisor went into the room and found her partially unclothed.
The woman told police that she had intercourse with Weber, and Weber admitted to having sex with the resident on two occasions about three weeks apart.
Weber could face charges, and is jailed on a $150,000 bond.
