One-Car Crash on Highway 63
Officers said the car was in the right-hand lane, heading south on 63, when the driver veered right and then overcorrected. They say the car crossed the left-hand lane of traffic, flipped over a guardrail above the Stadium Boulevard exit, hit the embankment and ejected the driver.
Police say the driver was an adult woman, 45-50 years old, whose 4- to 6-year-old child also was in the car.
Ambulances took both victims to University Hospital. Police said the child had only minor injuries, but the woman was unresponsive when they arrived at the scene.
