MORGAN COUNTY — Carol A. Mace, 66-year-old female and resident of Letts, Ia., veered her vehicle off of the right side of Route C Sunday, heading eastbound. Dr. Borsheski of the University Hospital pronounced passenger Lisa M. Decock, 55-year old female from Moline, Ill., deceased on the scene.

The driver drove through a fence, striking a creek and then overturning into a field. The first responders notified both parties' families.

Decock remains in serious condition at the University Hospital.

This is Troop F's fifth fatality for June, totalling 32 this year.
