COLUMBIA - A power outage between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. in Southwest Columbia left around 700 residents without power.

At around 3:00 p.m, most of the outages were restored.

Columbia Power and Light says a faulty power circuit close to Perche Creek casued the outages.

The department says the circuit's damage was most likely caused by recent storms.
