FULTON, MO -- Alex St. Pierre has signed a letter of intent to continue his education at William Woods University and play baseball for the Owls. The signing was confirmed earlier this season by head coach Darren Munns and announced Wednesday.

"Alex is a great addition to our baseball program," said Munns. "He has excelled both academically and athletically at Warrensburg High School. Alex will compete for immediate playing time on our infield. He is a hard-nosed player that has great passion for the game. I look forward to Alex's continued development at William Woods."

St. Pierre is a four-year letterwinner for the Tigers, helping WHS to three West Central Conference titles. He was named a 2011 all-West Central Conference first team selection as well as earning an all-district accolade on the year. In addition to his prowess on the diamond, he earned all-district honors as a one-year letterwinner in soccer as a senior.

The son of Matt and Liz St. Pierre, Alex intents to major in sports management at William Woods.
