FULTON, MO -- William Woods University women's soccer head coach Randy Hall announced the addition of Rachel Meyer to his squad. The Granite City, Illinois native joins the Owls following a two-year stint at Southwestern Illinois College.

She tallied nine goals and 11 assists in 17 games for the Blue Storm, including a Sept. 16, 2012 hat trick against College of DuPage. As a prep, she was a four-year letterwinner for Granite City High School, where she helped the Warriors to four straight regional championships and a third place finish in the IHSAA tournament as a freshman. She was an all-state honorable mention and all-conference first team selection in 2010 and was named the team MVP.

In addition to her play on the field, she was also a varsity cheerleader for the Warriors. The daughter of Beverly and Scott Meyer, she intends to major in Pre-Med/Occupational Therapy at William Woods.
