Owls Finish Ninth at NAIA National Championship

SALEM, OR -- The William Woods University men's golf team couldn't find its groove on the final day of the 61st Annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, slipping four places to finish ninth. Despite the finish, the Owls set a new school record with a 72-hole total of 1196 (298-299-292-307; +44). Julian Taylor finished the tournament tied for eight with a program-best 72-hole score of 292 (76-73-68-75; +4).

Chris Reinert posted the best round of the day for the Owls with a 74 (+2), finishing with a 304 (79-75-76-74; +16) to join a five-player group tied for 49th. J.D. Nashalso finished with a 304 (73-75-77-79; +16) for the tournament.

Andrew Davis finished in a tie for 34th place, carding a four-round total of 302 (74-76-73-79; +14), with Morgan Hough rounding out the team action for William Woods with a 72-hole total of 308 (75-79-75-79; +18). Hough finished tied for 61st in the tournament.
