Owls Mens Golf Third After Day One Of Eagle Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The William Woods University men's golf team currently sits in third place at the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational, being played at the LPGA International Legends Course. The Owls carded a two-round total of 602 (304-298; +22) and trail leaders SCAD Savannah by 12 strokes. Morgan Hough (Butler, Mo.) was the top individual performer for WWU on the day, with his 36-hole total of 150 (73-77; +6) good for a three-way tie for 12th.

Julian Taylor roared back with an even-par 72 - the low round of the day for WWU - to card a two-round total of 152 (80-72; +8) and hold down 17th spot, with Chris Reinert (Parkville, Mo.) also in the top 25 with a 153 (78-75; +9) for a five-way tie for 21st. J.D. Nash (Dixon, Mo.) and Andrew Davis (Manchester, England) round out the team card with totals of 157 (73-84; +13) and 163 (89-74; +19) respectively.

Competing as an individual, Bobby Mayer (St. Louis, Mo.) posted a two-round card of 160 (82-78; +16) for T-49th.

As a team, the Owls will tee off in the 8 a.m. flight from the first hole to wrap up the tournament on Tuesday, while Mayer will tee off from the 10th hole at 8:36 a.m.
