Ozark Tanker Manufacturer to Expand
OZARK - The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced the expansion of North American Tank, expecting to create at least 30 new jobs.
The Ozark based tanker manufacturer builds bulk liquid transportation truck-mount tanks and tank trailers. The expansion project includes a $200,000 capital investment.
"Advanced manufacturing plays a big role in supporting and growing the state's economy," Mike Downing, director of the Department of Economic Development, said in a news release. "North American Tank's investment will help reinvigorate the local community and move Missouri's economy forward."
The company said it will modify a second building on its campus to accommodate for the increased production.
The City of Ozark, near Springfield, and the DED have offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria.
