Painter has the MU Basketball job if he wants it
COLUMBIA - The Missouri basketball coaching job is Matt Painter's, if he wants it. The Purdue coach will meet with MU officials, and sources tell KOMU that, a decision from Painter is expected by Wednesday.
Painter is Missouri's number one candidate to replace Mike Anderson, who left for Arkansas last week.
Painter, was the Big Ten Coach of the Year three of the last four years, has led Purdue to four consecutive seasons of at least 25 wins, and taken them to five consecutive NCAA tournament appearence. In seven years, as a Division I head coach, Painter has a .700 winning percentage.
