ST. LOUIS - Liam Myrick is your typical three-year-old boy. He loves motorcycles, John Deere tractors, and painting pictures. He loves the summertime, sunshine, and water, but Liam does not get to enjoy it from inside a hospital room.
Liam was diagnosed with stage four, high risk, Neuroblastoma on July 23rd, 2011. His family rushed Liam to the emergency room on July 22nd, when Liam got extremely sick. After two days of little improvement, doctors ordered a cat scan. Scans showed a massive tumor on his kidney, causing liver failure.
Liam is now on round five of chemotherapy. He continues to paint to keep his spirits up. The family began auctioning off Liam's work on Facebook, Miracle Boy 4 A Cure, to raise money for medical treatments.
The Myrick family medical bills total more than half a million dollars. They hope Liam's work will help defray cost of the high medical expenses.
