Passengers, pilot in Osage Beach plane crash identified
OSAGE BEACH - A pilot's mother and daughter were in the hospital Thursday morning after a plane crashed in Osage Beach Wednesday afternoon. Authorities also identified the victims of the crash Thursday morning.
72-year-old Mary J. Sulin of Bridgeton and her juvenile granddaughter were being treated at Lake Regional Hospital for serious and moderate injuries. Mary Sulin was transferred to University Hospital in fair condition.
Pilot Gary D. Sulin, 45, of St. Charles flew his mother and daughter in a 1976 Beechcraft B19 from Grand-Glaize Airport Wednesday. The plane was en route to Creve Couer when it crashed in the Lake of Ozarks at Osage Beach. The Osage Beach Fire Department arrived on the scene seven minutes after the crash. Officials used a fire boat to rescue the pilot and two passengers.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the pilot was not injured and the passengers were conscious and alert.
Divers located and removed the plane from the water.
