Pedestrian in critical condition after downtown St. Louis accident
ST. LOUIS (AP) - A man was in critical condition Monday after being struck by two vehicles that fled the scene of the accident near Busch Stadium.
Police said the 50-year-old man was crossing South Broadway about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when he was struck by a black Mercedes and a maroon vehicle. Police said the Mercedes was speeding. Both vehicles left the scene.
Accidents involving pedestrians have become more common this year. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports at least 12 pedestrians have been fatally struck in St. Louis in 2015, compared to five all of 2014.
