In case you missed it, last night Missouri gave up a ninth inning game winning bomb to the Jayhawks, making it four straight losses to its border rival. Saturday, sophomore pitcher Rick Zagone stepped up to the mound for the black and gold looking to keep those baseballs from sailing out of Taylor Stadium.

Eren Earleywine's Tiger softball team will take a three game winning streak into Saturday's match up with ninth ranked Texas over at University field.

The St. Louis Cardinals remained in Memphis. They participated in Major League Baseball's inaugural civil rights game against the Cleveland Indians. The event was created by senior vice president Jimmie Lee Solomon to remember the significant roles that baseball played during the civil rights movement. The MLB barred African Americans from competing about 60 years before re-integrating the sport by letting Jackie Robinson suit up in 1947.

The Royals took on the Astros in their last preseason game down at the Juice Box in Houston, Texas.

The build up, the festivities, it's all been lingering around the Final Four during the past week in Atlanta, Georgia.  That means your brackets will be answered on Monday night as the last three games of the NCAA men's basketball season are finally here. But before that champion is determined, they must play the semifinals.

Now let's jump away from your NCAA tournament bracket pool and dive into the swimming pool. It's tough to stay up all night since the event is in Australia, but if you haven't been watching the World Swimming Championships this week, then you may not know about all six of Michael Phelps accomplishments. His most recent came Friday night in the 100 meter butterfly as he chalked up his sixth gold medal. In all he's won six in both individual and team events down under in Melbourne. But just in case that's not enough, he has two more chances today to collect gold medals in the 4x100 meter team medley and 400 meter individual medley. So far he has set world records in the 200 individual medley, 200 butterfly, and 200 freestyle.

How about some arena football. Last night Kansas City when Arizona Rattler quaterback Sherdrick Bonner is picked off on an extra point attempt by KC's Denarios Smalls and the game is tied at 41-41.Then it was Raymond Philyaw to Boo Williams for a 35 yard score. The bridgade go up by eight. Arizona would tie it with 5 seconds left but in overtime, Philyaw and Williams hook up again, Brigade up 62-55.Final play of the game, Rattlers go for the wn, Bonners pass to Kevin Mckenzie in the back of the endzone is incomplete.Kansas City is 2-2, as they sneak away with a 61-61 win.
