COLUMBIA -- The battle of Missouri starting quarterback is heading to fall camp. On Wednesday during the Southeastern Conference Coaches Teleconference, head coach Gary Pinkel addressed the sprint ball competition at the QB position.

"I think the order always matters at every spot. You come out with 15 practices and get as many, many reps in those 15 practices and in scrimmages and so on. James [Franklin] is going to be one, Maty [Mauk] will be two and Corbin [Berkstresser] is going to be three. We haven't talked about that yet but that will certainly effect, as it always had, reps a little bit without question into August when we finalize that. It's still going to be competitive though and that's not going to change, I think it's healthy like it is in every position."

The pre-spring depth chart had Franklin listed as number one, Berkstresser as number two and Mauk at number three. Mauk made the jump to the number two spot after the first open scrimmage of the season on Saturday, April 6.
