Planned Parenthood adds fence to Columbia location
COLUMBIA - The Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid- Missouri has a new addition to its outer perimeter- a fence.
Sheila Kostas with Planned Parenthood, said in a statement: "The fence is simply an upgrade to the property as we continue making aesthetic enhancements to this facility to make our patients' experience as positive as we can."
About a month ago a pro-life group released a video of a Planned Parenthood executive discussing the transport and sales of fetal body parts to medical clinics.
A week after that, Attorney General Chris Koster announced there would be an investigation as to whether Missouri clinics broke the law by selling fetal tissue.
More recently, the Planned Parenthood clinic in Columbia began offering abortion services.
KOMU 8 News reached out to see if the fence was there to keep protesters farther from the building. Planned Parenthood said it would not comment further.
