Police Arrest Jefferson City Rape and Burglary Suspect
JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City Police arrested a man late Thursday night wanted for questioning in a burglary and rape investigation. He was released Friday morning.
Dana Day, Jr., 24, was arrested after fleeing from a car in which he was believed to be a passenger. Day hid behind a residence in the 300 block of Jackson Street and was apprehended a short time later by officers with the help of a K-9 unit.
Day faces charges of felony property destruction, domestic assault, burglary and rape. The Cole County Prosecutor will also review new charges of resisting arrest in connection with this latest incident.
Authorities also arrested two other subjects for other violations during the traffic stop. Jefferson City Police have not released any more details regarding those arrests.
