Police Arrest Two More Suspects for Columbia Burglary
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Department said it arrested two additional suspects Tuesday for their alleged roles in a July 23 burglary in northeast Columbia.
The department said it arrested 21-year-old Damon Lamont Harris around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at 309 West Worley Street. The department said Harris was arrested for second degree burglary, felony stealing and second degree property damage.
The department said officers also took 18-year-old Martinez Demetrius Jackson into custody around 2 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of West Sexton Road and Banks Avenue. Officers said the suspect assaulted officers and ran from them.
Martinez Jackson was arrested for second degree burglary, felony stealing, resisting arrest, assaulting an officer and second degree property damage. The department also said Martinez Jackson has four warrants for a failure to appear in court.
The department arrested 19-year-old Ladame Smith on Aug. 11 for his alleged role in the burglary.
