Police Believe Someone Shot Couple, Wrecked Car
The incident occurred 7:30 Wednesday night. Police originally investigated the deaths as a murder-suicide. But they now tell STLToday.com that no weapon was found, and that the entry of the gunshot wounds made a murder-suicide unlikely. Witnesses say the car was heading east on a service road along Interstate 70. The car went out of control and through a chain link fence separating the service road from the interstate. It struck a light pole and stopped in the eastbound lanes. The victims are identified as 32-year-old Adrian Bivens and his 26-year-old girlfriend, Latongia Bowens. Both were shot in the head.
