Police: Frog hunters find human torso in Dunklin County ditch
KENNETT (AP) - Authorities were investigating Friday after human remains were found in a ditch in Dunklin County.
The Southeast Missourian reports authorities received a call Wednesday night from two people catching frogs in a drainage ditch south of Kennett and said they found what they believed was a body.
According to Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder, two deputies went to the scene and discovered the remains were a human torso. The remains were recovered and Friday morning were in the custody of the Dunklin County coroner.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office were investigating.
