Police identify pedestrian killed on Providence Road
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police traffic unit said Friday it had identified the person killed by a car on Providence Road Thursday.
Police said Kui Zou, a 24-year-old University of Missouri visiting scholar from China, was killed while trying to cross Providence. Police said the 30-year-old man driving the car that hit Zou did not see her.
Zou was pronounced dead at the scene and police contacted her next of kin in China.
The crash was the third involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Columbia Thursday.
