Police Investigate Infant's Death
ELDON - Miller County Sheriff's Department released the identities of the parents of an infant found dead last Thursday. Graham Bond and Elizabeth Burnett were arrested on drug charges and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police found methamphetamine, narcotics including Morphine and marijuana, hypodermic syringes, and cash.
According to a probable cause statement from Corporal Erick Stack of Missouri State Highway Patrol, "The items were found packaged in such a manner which indicated sales and distribution from the residence was taking place."
Law enforcement officials don't know yet if drugs led to the infant's death.
"It was not a drug bust, and the parents called police when the baby wouldn't wake up," said somebody close to the suspects.
Sources close to the parents claim results from an autopsy indicated sudden infant death.
Officials KOMU talked with didn't want to confirm that information, and said they are waiting for toxicology results.
Bond and Burnett are both being held on a bond of 100,000 dollars each.
