COLUMBIA - Police are investigating an evening robbery at the Church's Chicken restaurant on Business Loop 70 in Columbia.

Public Information officer Latisha Stroer said around 7:30 p.m. a man entered the business and handed the cashier a note demanding money.

According to the police department, the suspect did not display a weapon but said he was armed. He then fled on foot and was seen jumping into the passenger side of a white Chevrolet Silverado and heading southbound on Business Loop 70.
