COLUMBIA - Police are looking for four suspects after an armed home invasion Monday afternoon.
Officers of the Columbia Police Department were dispatched around 12:09 p.m. Monday to the 3500 block of Marquis Court.
Police said a college aged man was home alone when he heard a loud pounding at the back door of his home. When he went to see who it was, four black males kicked open the door and ordered him to the ground. One of the suspects was armed according to a police media release.
The suspects demanded money and items from the victim. Police said the victim's home was "ransacked" and an undisclosed amount of money and property was taken.
The suspects left on foot through the back door.
No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573-874-7448.
This is the second armed residential invasion involving multiple men in the last three days. The last occurred Saturday at The Grove Apartments. Columbia Police Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said the department does not have enough information at this time to conclude if the two are related.
