Police Shoot Kansas City Woman in Defense
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City police shot and killed a woman who they say pointed an assault rifle at officers.
Police say the shooting occurred Monday morning outside a Kansas City house.
They say a woman called police to report that she awoke at her home to find a bloody woman standing over her holding an assault-type rifle. The suspect allowed the resident to run to a neighbors' house and call police.
Police reported that as officers approached the house, the suspect came outside and pointed the rifle at officers, who shot her.
