Police: Suspect on the run after Friday bank robbery
COLUMBIA - Police said Monday morning a suspect is on the run after a bank robbery in north Columbia Friday afternoon.
Police said the suspect, a white male approximately 5'6" to 5'8" and between 30 and 35 years old, went into First State Community Bank at 3200 Golden Bear Drive just before 5 p.m. Friday, implied he had a gun and demanded money from the teller.
The Columbia Police Department report said the suspect then left the bank on a bicycle heading northbound on Highway 63 wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a light colored sweatshirt and dark pants.
Police said no one was injured during the robbery.
