Police: Woman threatened ex-husband with gun, kidnapped 2 kids
COLUMBIA - Police said Monday they've made an arrest in a kidnapping incident Sunday involving a 4-year-old, a 9-year-old and a firearm.
The report said 32-year-old Megan Keller met her ex-husband and their two children, ages 4 and 9, in the parking lot of Bob Evans on Clark Lane Sunday around 8 p.m. and demanded he turn the children over to her.
According to the report, Keller is "prohibited from having contact with the children per an order of protection" and has no parental rights.
Police said when the ex-husband refused, Keller drew a handgun, threatened him, forcibly removed the children from his car and put them in her car. Police also said she tried to steal her ex-husband's phone.
The report said Keller left the area telling the ex-husband she was going to kill the children.
Officers arrested Keller when they found her and the children in her vehicle on Ballenger Lane and Oakview Drive shortly after the original call.
Keller faces numerous charges including armed criminal action, violation of order of protection, second-degree domestic assault, kidnapping and first-degree attempted robbery.
