Portions of I-70 to be Resurfaced
BOONE COUNTY - More than 16 miles of Interstate 70 going through Callaway and Boone counties will be resurfaced this spring. The announcement was made on Thursday, March 1 following the award of a construction contract by Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
The low bid for the contract was $2,384,189.50.
The construction includes deck repairs to the bridge over Big Cedar Creek, and 16 miles of westbound driving lanes from Route 54 in Kingdom City to the Lake of the Woods Exit in Boone County.
The project is scheduled to wrap up in fall 2012.
