Possible Loss of Prescription Costs for Missouri Elders
MID-MISSOURI - Unless Missouri lawmakers take action, Missouri RX could come to an end. The four-year-old program pays for 50% of out-of-pocket prescription costs for elderly Missourians. Governor Nixon is urging the general assembly to renew the program which expires next August.
Missouri RX costs $20 million annually, it's paid for by an agreement with tobacco companies.
