ORLANDO, Fl. - NBA summer league play continues in Orlando. For Phil Pressey, he was given more chances to showcase his skills for the Boston Celtics. The former Tiger star did not get drafted, but is trying to make Boston's roster as a free agent.
Pressey started the 1st quarter of this summer league game with a nice pass to Kelly Olynyk for the finish and the foul. A minute later, he drove into the lane and kicked out to Tim Abromaitis for three. Then Phil had a nice touch pass to Olynyk for another and-one.
In the 2nd quarter, Pressey got one of his three steals and shuffled the ball off to Abromaitis for the lay in. Two possessions later, Pressey brought the ball up to find Courtney Fells in the corner for three. On the next possession, Phil put on the defensive pressure and snagged the steal. He then had a no look pass to Lawrence Hill for two.
Pressey had a great pass to abromaitis in the 3rd quarter for another layup. He would find Abromaitis again in the 4th for a three pointer. Then, Pressey had an alley oop pass to Fells for the dunk.
The Celtics lost 85-78. Pressey, however, would finish with 10 assists, 6 points, 3 steals and 4 turnovers.
