Private jet makes emergency landing in Columbia
COLUMBIA – A plane made an emergency landing at the Columbia Regional Airport Thursday.
The Cessna Citation twin-engine jet left Searcy, Arkansas at 2:17 p.m. and was supposed to land in Eagle County, Colorado at 5:18 p.m. CT.
The plane was diverted to Columbia and landed safely at 3:13 p.m.
Columbia Public Works Marketing Specialist Teresa White said the plane “experienced some pressurization problems and issued a preemptive alert.”
She said the unscheduled landing had no effect on the airport, and there was no danger.
