Prosecutors could seek death penalty against northwest Missouri man
PLATTE COUNTY - Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against a 25-year-old northwest Missouri man if he is convicted of murder in a 2016 quadruple homicide case.
Grayden Lane Denham is accused of fatally shooting his grandparents, his sister and a 3-month old nephew in February. Their bodies were found outside a burning home near Edgerton, but details have not been released about what led to the shooting and fire.
Denham was arrested in Arizona as he walked around naked, police say.
The Kansas City Star reports (http://bit.ly/2qrsDY5) a hearing is scheduled for June 1 in Platte County Circuit Court. Denham has pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges.
Denham is being held in the Platte County Detention Center under a $4 million bond.
