FULTON - Fulton community members offered feedback at the first meeting regarding the downtown revitalization strategy Wednesday night.
Members representing the D.R.E.A.M initiative presented a strategy for downtown renovations and streetscaping. Members of PGAV planners, D.R.E.A.M., and Fulton business leaders had been conducting meetings for public feedback since 2009, but Wednesday was the first time the members presented an actual strategy for feedback. The strategy currently doesn't require any public money to get going.
A board member for the Jefferson City Downtown Association spoke about ways Jefferson City was able to build momentum toward downtown revitalization. Ideas including volunteer work, and public events. The tips given were ways Downtown Fulton business owners could help build traffic to the downtown district which could spark government intervention.
More events are expected to come later in the month.
