Public Schools Share Test Results
Columbia public schools is sharing it's results for the Missouri Assessment Program, or M.A.P. test, for 2010.
The M.A.P. test is Missouri's standardized test for students in 3rd-8th grades. Students are tested in areas ranging from math to communication arts.
In the past two years, Columbia public schools have not met their goals for adequate yearly progress.
But the student to teacher ratio has gone down in the past couple of years. It was 18:1 in 2008 and dropped to 17:1 last year.
As for 2010, the briefing Thursday will give an overview of the progress for 2010. The briefing is going for the just the media.
While the results are in for 2010, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education says the results cannot be shared with the public until July 30th.
