ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis Rams had slim playoff hopes still alive as they hosted the Minnesota ikings, and star running back Adrian Peterson.
Vikings' Adrian Peterson was chasing Eric Dickerson's all time rushing record. In the first quarter, Rams' Sam Bradford passes to Brian Quick for a 4-yard touchdown, game tied at 7.
Second quarter, Viking's drian Peterson runs 82-yards for a touchdown. Peterson finished with 212 yards and a touchdown. Vikings up 14-7. Later in the quarter, Sam Bradford is picked off by Everson Griffen. He returns it 30 yards for the touchdown, Vikings up 24-7.
In the fourth quarter, Adrian Peterson looks like he'll be stopped for a loss, then he cuts outside and runs for 52-yards. Peterson has 1,812 yards on the season; he needs 294 yards to break Erick Dickerson's NFL record of 2,105 yards. Vikings win 36-22.
