NEWBURG — The American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter is assisting a two-member Newburg family who lost their home to fire.
A press release stated that two chapter volunteers from Phelps County met with the family Friday. The volunteers provided financial resources for the family to meet their immediate emergency needs with the purchase of food, clothing and shoes.
The clients also received comfort kits, which contain personal hygiene items, and referrals to local partner agencies.
Family members found a place to temporarily stay, according to the release.
