Rep. Rowden announces campaign for Majority Floor Leader
COLUMBIA - Rep. Caleb Rowen, of Columbia, announced his campaign for House Majority Floor Leader Wednesday.
Rowden, who was elected to the Missouri State House of Representatives in 2012, said, "Our challenges are great, but our opportunities are greater, and I am excited about the chance to partner with my colleagues in crafting a vision to catapult our state forward to new levels of growth and opportunity."
Rowden's office said he will spend the next couple months meeting with fellow caucus members and "crafting a vision".
"I believe the Republican message is one that resonates with all Missourians. A message of lower taxes, fewer burdensome regulations on job creators, and a government that does what it's supposed to do well and steers clear of areas where government was never supposed to be," Rowden said.
Rowden sits on several committees, including the Select Committee on Budget and the Special Committee on Urban Issues.
