Riddle Shares Stories From Her Time At Mizzou
Most people know Eetisha Riddle for her moves on the court, but she's got plenty of moves off the court.
Riddle, a Senior Center, explained, "People do know me for dancing before I was playing basketball, like they didn't know I was on the team. They would go up to Crystel and Toya in the mall and they'd be like, can I get your autograph? And I'm like I play basketball too and then they look at me and they're like, ohhh that's the girl that be getting it on the dance floor, you can sign my dollar."
Riddle started every game since her Junior season, and this year she's scoring a career high 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds a game. Riddle has improved her averages every year since being at Mizzou, a trend that she hopes will continue and carry her into the WNBA someday.
Cindy Stein, Mizzou's Head Women's Basketball Coach, stated, "Well, I know the WNBA has been looking at Tish and I think the main focus for her right now is being a good seal on post and keeping her defender behind her. They really like the way she moves and she handles the ball."
The Tigers are struggling in the Big 12, but Riddle is still finding ways to score. She knows there is still time to turn it around.
Stein added, "We have ten games left in the Big 12 before the Big 12 tournament, and I expect us to get back in the thick of things."
Then, maybe Riddle and the Tigers can dance into the postseason. Riddle is hoping she can help the Tigers get back in the win column on Sunday at Noon when they host Colorado.
