COLUMBIA - The growth of Columbia has put stress on the city's electrical resources. City council is hosting a work session Thursday to look into three different options on where to run power lines.

Option A uses existing corridors. Option B uses some of the existing power line paths. Option B-2 uses city owned property, but may disturb some wetlands during construction and maintenance.

The city is holding a public meeting July 15.
