Road rage causes roll over accident on Missouri River Bridge
JEFFERSON CITY - The Jefferson City Police Department said road rage caused a rollover accident on the Missouri River Bridge in Jefferson City Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred when a driver cut off and hit another car and then plowed into the guardrail. The car then flipped over and roll onto its roof.
Witnesses said the car that was hit almost went over the guardrail and off the bridge.
The dispute first started on Highway 63 and continued onto Highway 54.
Southbound lanes on the bridge were shut down for about an hour and both drivers received tickets for careless and imprudent driving. No injuries were reported.
