ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police are searching for a robber who was involved in a shootout with the victim inside a store.

The victim was struck by a bullet in the shoulder. It wasn't clear if the robber was shot before he ran off.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the shootout happened Monday night. The 31-year-old victim says he was at the entrance to a convenience store when a man pointed a gun and said, "Give it up."

The victim ran inside the store and pulled out his own gun. The two men then exchanged gunfire. After the victim was shot, his attacker ran.

Details about the victim's condition were not immediately known.
